In Seville, dumping furniture in the street without notice is an offense under the Municipal Public Cleaning and Waste Management Ordinance. The good news: Lipasam (the municipal cleaning company) offers a free pickup service for furniture and bulky items.
Three ways to request pickup
You can request collection of furniture, appliances, and other bulky items via:
- Línea Sevilla Multicanal phone: 010 or 955 010 010 (24/7).
- WhatsApp: 628 783 494.
- Lipasam website: www.lipasam.es (online form).
You can also email [email protected] or contact the City Council via social media.
Key rules
- Maximum 10 items per request.
- You must specify the exact pickup location.
- Lipasam tells you when to put the furniture out. Don’t put it out earlier.
- Pickup happens within roughly 24 hours after you leave it out.
Recycling centers (Centros de Recogida Selectiva)
If you prefer to drop them off yourself, Seville has four recycling centers where you can deposit furniture, appliances, and other bulky waste for free:
- Los Olivos
- Los Pinos
- Los Naranjos
- Las Jacarandas
Open Monday to Saturday, 8:15 to 21:00.
Why doing it right matters
Dumping furniture in the street disrupts cleaning services and creates extra costs for everyone. Also, when items are leaned against containers, they fall when the truck lifts the container and end up blocking the spot.
Before tossing it, consider this
A lot of furniture that ends up on the curb is in perfect shape. Before calling 010, post it on Givore: upload a photo, someone from your neighborhood picks it up for free, and you skip the whole process.
