Leaving furniture on a Málaga street outside of your assigned day can cost up to €750 in fines. But the municipal pickup service is free and runs by neighborhoods, with one set day per week.

How to find your day

Each Málaga neighborhood has an assigned weekday for pickup. To find yours:

  • Check the stickers on the containers on your street: the info is there.
  • Look up the online form on the Limpieza de Málaga website.

How to leave the furniture

  • Only on your assigned day.
  • Next to the nearest container to your home.
  • Between 21:00 and 24:00.
  • Without blocking pedestrians or traffic.

What gets collected: Furniture, planks, wood, household items, and other bulky non-degradable waste.

What does NOT get collected

  • Construction debris.
  • Appliances and electrical devices: those go to the Punto Limpio. If you can’t get there, call 900 900 000 to book a pickup.

Fines

Breaking the rules can cost up to €750 under municipal regulations.

Before tossing it, consider this

A lot of furniture that ends up in containers is in perfect shape. Before putting it out, post it on Givore: upload a photo, someone from the neighborhood comes to pick it up for free, and you skip waiting for your assigned day. I’ve seen entire apartments cleared out this way in 48 hours.

Quick summary

  • Putting it out any other day = fine up to €750.
  • Neighborhood pickup = free, one day a week, 21:00-24:00.
  • Appliances = Punto Limpio or call 900 900 000.
  • Givore = fastest, and useful to someone else.
