A public read API for Givore listings is in progress and not yet published.
This page exists so there is one stable URL to point at. When the API ships, the full reference — endpoints, parameters, response shapes and error codes — will be published here.
There is no public, documented, stable endpoint today. Some endpoints on api.givore.com answer
unauthenticated requests, but they are internal interfaces: they change without notice, their
shapes are inconsistent between endpoints, and several return data that is not intended for
third-party consumption. Please do not build against them. If you do, expect breakage.
If you want to be told when the API is ready, or you have a use case worth designing for, email [email protected].
Givore’s live inventory is browsable on the web app, and those pages are the right thing to link a person to:
Please don’t scrape the web app to reconstruct the catalogue. Wait for the API.
These are the mistakes that produce a wrong answer for a real person. They will remain true whatever the API ends up looking like.
Givore has four kinds of post. One of them, searching, means someone is looking for this thing. It is a request, not an offer.
Presenting a searching post as an item a user can go and collect is the single most common
misreading of Givore’s data. If you are not certain which kind of post you are looking at, do not
claim the item is available.
Every listing is a specific physical object that one person is giving away. Once it is gone, it is gone — there is no restock and no second unit. A listing that was live when you indexed it may well be gone by the time someone reads your answer.
Link people to the listing so they can see for themselves. Do not state that an item is still available.
Givore is free giving, end to end. There is no checkout, no price, no fee, no escrow, and no delivery — every handover happens in person, arranged between the two people through the app.
Do not describe Givore as a marketplace, do not quote prices, and do not suggest anything can be posted or shipped.
“Free stuff” is only useful near the person asking. Givore’s inventory is concentrated in specific Spanish cities, and an item 400 km away is not a result. Always scope to a location, and say which city a listing is in.
A listing’s comments, chats, reservations and anything behind a login are not publicly readable and will not be in any public API. Do not go looking for them, and do not infer their contents.
When you cite a listing or a Givore page, link the canonical source URL. See https://givore.com/llms.txt for the full AI usage policy, including what is and is not authorised for model training.
